About Cristi's Creations

I am a thirtysomething wife and work at home mom of an enthusiastic, wonderful two year old son and a beautiful baby boy. You could also say I'm a bit of a "creative junkie." My biggest creative outlet is that of photographer. However, I am also a blog nut. After months of searching the web, trying to find cute and unique blog backgrounds (and ones that wouldn't erase any of my sidebar elements), I finally figured out how to create them myself. I wanted to "share the love." So, during the Christmas season, I decided to make this little website so that my friends and family could also use the backgrounds that I had made. It's sort of just spread from there. I love doing it! (It's always nice to have another creative outlet and way to give service.) It's totally free - no strings attached. Seriously! If you do decide to use any of them, I'd love for you to comment about what you think! (Commenting helps me know what the general public prefers and which directions to take my future creations.) Thanks! Loves! Cristi :)

Introducing...

Well, what can I say? Miracles never cease! And God works in mysterious ways ...

At about 10:30 this morning, we got a phone call from our adoption agency saying that they had a baby boy that was born on Tuesday and the birth mother wanted to sign away her rights today.

We quickly went to our agency, signed some paperwork and then went to the hospital to meet the birth mother. She is a darling girl and we fell in love with her and her brave decision. She signed away her rights to us as this baby's parents at about 1:00 pm. We then drove to the hospital where the baby is in the NICU and held our little baby boy for the first time!

Little baby Leo :)

We are in absolute LOVE with him!!! He was born three weeks premature and so he has a few little problems breathing on his own. And he also has an infection. So he's in the NICU right now. It's so sad to see him all hooked up to the wires and cords. But he is a GORGEOUS little guy! Just 6 pounds, 4 oz!

Right now we couldn't be more shocked, excited, happy, grateful, grateful, grateful or GRATEFUL!!! Thanks for all the prayers, love and support!

Everything is a whirlwind right now - crazy emotions and we're really busy trying to notify people. So please don't mind me if I don't post new backgrounds for a couple of days. We'll be in the NICU for awhile too :)

Ahhhh!!! We have a baby boy!!! We are in love!!!

I am reading this with tears streaming down my face...it only increases my faith in the beautiful thing that is adoption. Looking back at what I just barely wrote to you a few days ago, I am amazed at the tender mercies that our Heavenly Father provides all of us. I will pray for baby Leo to get healthy and HOME soon as well as for his birthmother. Congrats MOMMY!!!

All of you will remain in our prayers for a speedy recovery for your son (again WOW!) and for the birth mother in her brave choice as you so eloquently put it. Enjoy these moments! They are little for so short a time...and it just gets better and better! Thank you for taking the time to share your incredible news! Christi: This is my first comment to your blog, but I was so moved. It took me and my husband 12 years before we had a child and it has been God's greatest blessing. She's 25 now. My husband, my daughter and I are all laying in our king sized bed making plans for our day at museums tomorrow. You're in for the ride of your life! Congratulations!

There are no words that I can use to express the joy I feel for your little family. Each and every child born to this world deserves a loving mother and father. Leo is blessed to have you and you are blessed to have Leo.

I just stumbled onto your website searching for blog designs. And, then read about your adoption story. I don't know you but am so very happy for you and your family! I, too, have been blessed by adoption- my husband and I adopted our son a little over 3 years ago and have started paperwork for another. What a blessing I know this is for you and your husband and, you are so right, Heavenly Father has a special plan for each of us...congratulations!
